Library Programs

Get involved with your Community Library by participating in one of our Public Programs. 

 We are happy to provide diverse programs for all interests and ages.

 

Take a look at some of our current, on-going programs here. Be sure to check back and stay tuned as we continue to expand our program offerings. We are partnering with outside organizations to bring you more program opportunities to the Norwood area. Story Time for Littles

Storytimes and activities for children ages birth to 6 will be on Fridays at 10:30 am. Lunches are available for all kids ages 0-18. Older siblings are welcome to attend. 

Tween Programs (2nd-6th)

Library Club Fridays from 12:00 – 1:15

Free Sack Lunches

Lunches are available to all youth ages 0-18 each Friday through the school year. You can still get a lunch even if you do not attend a program. Sign up on the calendar each week to reserve your lunch.

Play. Learn. Grow.

Are you a stay-at-home parent/grandparent? Do you long to connect with other caregivers and have grown up conversation? Then this program is for you!

Offered twice monthly. Programs dates vary so check our Facebook or Calendar page for upcoming events.

Basic Computer Classes

Saturdays 12-1 pm. One on one computer assistance will be offered after the class.

Lone Cone Library Board of Trustees Meeting

6:30 pm the second Monday of each month. Meetings are currently being held in a hybrid model of in-person and on Zoom. Monthly agendas are available under District Information the Friday before each meeting.

STEAM Club

Tuesdays after school. Staff will walk registered children to the library from school or you may drop your child off at the library. Program ends at 5:30.

Teen Programs (7th-12th)

Offered monthly, programs vary so check our Facebook or Calendar page for upcoming events.

Wellness Program

We are pleased to offer a variety of regular scheduled wellness classes that are available weekly. Join your fellow community members as we gather at the library for some fun that’s good for the mind and body.

Adult Craft Night

Offered monthly, crafts vary from painting, fabric marbling, wine bottle painting and more. Older teens are welcome to join as well.

Book Club

Monthly program on the first Monday of the month at 7:00 pm at the library, in front of the fireplace. Books change monthly, so check out our Facebook page or Instagram for the latest pick. Newcomers are welcome to join at any time!

Book A Librarian

Need some extra help?  Make an appointment to work with library staff on more detailed projects such as tech assistance or special reference tasks like grant research.
