Summer Reading programs begin the week of June 7th. In addition, we’re beginning some new programs such as the new “How To” classes and Book Club.
Here is a list of current, on-going programs. Stay tuned as we continue to expand our offerings and partner with other organizations to bring more opportunities to the Norwood area. For special programs this month check out the calendar linked below.
Storytimes and activities for children ages birth to 6 will be on Thursdays at 10 am. Lunches are available for all kids ages 0-18. Older siblings are welcome to attend.
Fridays from 10- 12. This summer’s theme is “Tails and Tales”. In June our programs are entitled: Little Red Riding Hood CSI; Hungry, Hungry Hippos; and Skype a Scientist. In July, Pinhead will lead these programs. Lunches available for all kids ages 0-18.
Lunches are available to all youth ages 0-18 each Thursday and Friday this summer. You can still get a lunch even if you do not attend a program. Sign up on the calendar each week to reserve your lunch.
Offered monthly, crafts vary from painting, fabric marbling, wine bottle painting and more. Older teens are welcome to join as well.
Saturdays 12-1 pm. One on one computer assistance will be offered after the class.
6:30 pm the second Monday of each month. Meetings are currently being held in a hybrid model of in-person and on Zoom. Monthly agendas are available under District Information the Friday before each meeting.
Pinhead will be bringing their expertise to our Summer Reading programs every Friday in July as part of the Tween program.
This summer Teen programs will be held on Tuesdays from 1-2:30. Program themes are: Animal Anime and Manga; DIY Harry Potter; Book of Monsters; Career Dogs; Backyard Habitat Series; No animals Here: a Vegan Cookbook Club; and Break It/Remake it: Freaky Animals. We offer opportunities for teens to volunteer to receive service learning hours. Contact Beverly@loneconelibrary.org if you are interested in helping out.

Monthly from 1:30-3:30 p.m. on a Wednesday afternoon, led by Carrie Andrew, Lone Cone Library Director. The group follows the Conversation Cafe model about topics affecting those in Norwood and the surrounding area. Topics vary each month. Seating is limited to 10 people so sign up early.
